78. When You Are Always Available…
When you are always available to your patients, have all your notifications on, checking your email, and the entire world has access to you, you and those closest to you suffer.
This approach will ultimately lead to your exhaustion and burnout.
It also prevents your friends and family from being with you and sharing a moment distraction-free.
Service is essential, but you also need time when you are disconnected and unavailable to your patients.
In the long run, this action will allow you to provide better service and be there for your family as well.
