When you are opening your practice, the biggest mistake I see is, without a doubt, overspending on equipment and getting an office larger than you need.

"One Thing", Billy Crystal, growth, impact, Practice Growth, routine -

When you have a practice, family, house, even with yourself, there are many priorities, but the key is to whittle them down to a few.

My dad loved the movie city slickers with Billy Crystal when the old cowboy lifts his index finger and says, "one thing, just one thing".

But it is so true, you have to figure out your why, your "one thing."

You have to continually find the few actions that lead toward the "one thing."

If you can do this, you will make everything better, more effective, and more fulfilling.

Hi Rhinos, Rhino University EP 16. Instead of a how to/tactical, this will be more of a mindset episode.

You have to take responsibility for your life, your practice, your success, your family, everything.

You have to take responsibility for everything. Winston Churchill said the greatest power of humanity is responsibility. Jim Rohn has one of my favorite quotes, “Don’t wish things were easier, wish you were better”

Get better, take your own responsibility. If you blame someone else for your position, you’re never going to go anywhere. Anytime you have any resistance, it’s someone else’s fault “it’s my town, they just don’t get it” “they want xrays in my town” “they don’t like chiropractic in my town”

Hey Rhinos, Dr. FJ. I want to talk today about the most important phrase you will ever learn. I don’t care how much time you spend with your patients. What you DO need to do is be very efficient with your language so you’re not wasting 10-15 minutes talking about the weather when you could be checking and adjusting people. Now, some visits will take longer – it could be more complicated, has more resistance, so you need to spend that time.

I’m not saying not to build a relationship with your patients – I’m all about getting to know my patient’s families, and their lives, creating rapport and building that relationship BUT I’m talking about that WHILE I’m checking them.

It took Dr. Fred 7 years of MASSIVE daily visits to get this phrase  and it changed his practice.

Dr. FJ here with your next episode of Rhino University.

I’m really excited about this episode – we’re going to talk about Scaling your Office. How do you scale it and in turn create more freedom for yourself?

For most of the Chiropractic profession the doctor is the doctor, the owner, the operator and in order to make more you needed to see more. See more, see more, see more – but eventually you get tired, you get older and you start seeing a decline.

I don’t want that. I want my office to grow forever, for my office to perpetually grow. I also want a Self-Propelled office that I don’t have to micromanage.

That takes skills and time to develop  -  but the thinking we have in our profession that hasn’t changed yet is the old-school factory model
